PVDF Color Coated Aluminum

Aluminium coated with PVDF fluorocarbon coating has high weather resistance. It is made of roller coating with a unique double or triple coating process.

The chemical name of PVDF is polyvinylidene fluoride, which has a special chemical structure. The carbon-fluorine (CF) bond energy in the molecular structure is very strong (485KJ/MOL).  Only a small percentage of the ultraviolet light in sunlight can break the CF bond.Therefore, sunlight has almost no effect on it.The coated aluminum coil  is highly weather-resistant under wind and sun, and its surface is not easily got discoloration, it has acid and alkali corrosion resistance and excellent gloss retention.

2. Things to be noted when purchasing PVDF fluorocarbon coated aluminum.

  • The PVDF resin content should be greater than or equal to 70%;
  • Inorganic pigments should be used as much as possible for color mixing. Bright pigments are not recommended
  • The coating thickness is greater than or equal to 25 micron.
  • The recommended glossiness  is below 40 degrees.

  • This type of product is mainly used in office buildings, stadiums, exhibition centers, etc. Outdoor curtain wall decoration of high-end buildings.
